Yeah, too bad the MLS will never succeed because Americans are anti-foreigners and they think soccer is foreign. Even though I'm a football player and that is my first love in sports, I really like soccer and I think Americans should give it a chance, considering it is the most popular sport in the world.
gu the mls has been around now for close to 13 years maybe even longer
maybe the MLS has succeeded by staying alive, but my point is that soccer in this country will always take a back seat to football, baseball, basketball, and even hockey. I'll throw in NASCAR, too.
jaz do you think this was smart? i think they should have tried for someone else in their prime maybe or i don't know, i just never was a big beckham fan...i know he is the only person they use to show on espn.
I think at this point it was smart. Very few people don't know about Beckham. By bringing him in, they will increase their audience. Still, there are better players that are younger and still have a international reputation, that they could've taken. About what Gu said, NASCAR?

thats true, i actually think david beckham can change the mls for the better. He's one of the best athlete's in the world.
