End Times
I was reading Matthew, 24 I think it was, last night, and I came across something called "the abomination that causes desolation." My NIV Bible said that this is mentioned in Daniel. I went back, and it wasn't made any clearer. I'm curious as to what this is, and I figured that you guys would be a great community to ask. So, any thoughts?

If you're talking about the end of the world, then fire -- when God destroyed the world with a flood, he said that he would never again do so by water, but the next time, he would use fire. That could mean a lot of things, though. War, a natural disaster, our politics being "under fire." Thing about it.
i checked my daniel commentary and also my niv study bible and it is about the persecution that will happen and in daniel it says how many days it will last, it also referred to something that had happen with the king of the time built a statue of zeus in the temple of God on the altar i think it said...but mostly it is just about the persecution Christians will experience before the return of Christ...hope that helps...later
