Future

Well, I've been reading "I, Robot", by Isaac Asimov, which came out before the movie. He presents a future that is really different than the way it turned out. I mean, he has us mining on Mercury in like 2020. By then we're supposed to have robots that are able to talk, and walk and do stuff. They even have personalities. It's pretty crazy. Anyways, in one of his stories, the world is divided up into four regions, and each has a "machine", which is basically a gi-normous calculating machine that works data and tells people what to do. It can't hurt people, because of the three rules of robotics, which is something else. Anyways, the world is running very smoothly, cause these "machines" tell everyone what to do in order for everything to work out to the maximum of efficiency. It seems that that could very well be what the world turns out as. But if you consider what happened in "Brave New World" people would start becoming perfection and caste freaks. I think that these "machines" would also guide humanity there, because it would increase the efficiency of factories and what not if there were castes and levels of humanity, and each of them were completely content doing what they were assigned to do, no matter how dull or boring it is. This suppresses the individuality of humans, which God created them with. Part of it is that I think that peaceful worlds are alright, but kinda boring. I mean, action and conflict make life interesting. There are few good movies that don't have some sort of conflict. Hmmmm, that makes me think, that conflictless life is impossible, because there will always be people who disagree and can't work it out nicely. It makes sense, if you think about it. gotta go
