Well, I'm looking forward to another great season of football. More precisely, I'm looking forward to seeing the Packers. This being Brett Favre's last year, I'm expecting great things. They could definitely use a defensive player. Their offence isn't perfect, but it isn't that bad off, with Brett Favre, Donald Driver, and Bubba Franks. Their defense is lacking though. With the loss of Darren Sharper, last year I think, they will begin to struggle. Al Harris, Nick Barnett, and AJ Hawk will help, but Al and Nick are aging, while AJ is only in his second season. I would personally pick either a lineman that can pressure the QB and stop runs, or a safety that can persuade QBs to throw short, where the linebackers can pick them up, or run. On offence, they should draft a RB. They did alright two years ago, only because they had Najeh Davenport and Samkon Gado to fill in for Ahman Green, but the Packers still struggled. Now, they have none of the three. A RB is needed desperately. After that, I would draft either a lineman or a WR. The Packers' recieving squad is made up of aging men and stuggling youngsters (Only two WR had more than 2 seasons experience). If they get those holes patched up, the skill of the team and the hype of Brett's last season should be enough to carry them to another Super Bowl.

well it also helps that they are in the nfc and not the afc...they almost made the playoffs last year with the record they had...hopefully the nfc will become more competive soon, football is getting boring with the nfc being sooooo week!!
I agree with you there, Ben. In response to your post, I would say that in my humble opinion, the Packers are not going to be strong enough this year to make any type of serious playoff push. They will probably have to strongly rely on a rookie running back (I know it's possible to win the super bowl with an inexperienced running back--that's happened the past two seasons) but they also don't have peyton manning or the defense of the 05-06 Steelers. I'm not trying to say this is the Steelers year either, but I have to say that I really can't see the Pack winning one for big Favrey this year.
